A Simple Letter

Old in Age, But Young at Heart.

The 47th letter to you.

The night is still young, but I am getting older—at least in years—while remaining young at heart.

The clock has ticked, and now that it has struck 12 AM, it has been 40 years since I came into this world. Am I grateful? Yes, I am. I am grateful to have been born so that I could meet so many kindred souls who became my good friends, and I feel lucky to be blessed with many family members who care for and love me. I am grateful to have chosen my mother, who gave birth to me and taught me so many valuable lessons. Even though my mom was strict with me, her upbringing taught me to be just as kind-hearted as she is.

Before midnight turned yesterday into today, I got to celebrate a cozy and festive birthday with my family and friends. I am glad I took the opportunity to celebrate and invited them to join me. It was just a small birthday party, but it expanded my soul deep down and made my heart feel warm.

For everyone who took the time to come, sing, and wish me a happy birthday, I thank you all for the gifts and sincere blessings on my special day. You know who you are.I wished upon the candles to celebrate a happy birthday with you all, year after year. Nothing makes me happier than to see you all enjoy the food I made, giving me a chance to show my kindness and care for you, just as you have shown me yours.

40 years is neither long nor short, but time never stands still. It won’t be long before we can gather together again—a reunion that will uplift our spirits, with laughter like bells echoing throughout the universe.

Until next time, everyone. Have a good night, and a good morning when you wake up.

Love,

Amara
